Cole's Charity Corner

Hello,

Recently, we’ve gotten things started with giving out some money, and getting Matt’s name out there in the community. We founded the “Friends of Matthew Bardsley Memorial Scholarship” which is something we would like to keep going for a very long time. An endowment with the Lincoln- Sudbury Scholarship Fund remains one of our long-term goals. Bobby, Mrs. Bardsley and I attended the awards ceremony at LS and gave Bridgette Griffin the award. Bridgette is a good person and a field hockey stud. We have some pictures, so please look for them in July in New Hampshire. We are still trying to figure out what student profile to target for next years scholarship, so please let us know if you have any suggestions. We will continue to seek out social, well-liked and athletic students in the L.S. community, and in the upcoming years all M.O.B participants are are invited and encouraged to take part in both finding candidates and presenting the scholarship.

In other news, I’ve reached out to some people in the Sudbury Little League and Bay State Baseball League (summer league), and I think we might be making some progress in that front.

The golf tournament would be a good venue for any of you guys to toss any ideas in my direction about how we can memorialize Matt. Please be generous this year, as the more money we raise the cooler and bigger this organization can become.
